Next up in the Big Rigs series is Trevor Hardwick of Stanwood, WA a young trucker who is on a mission to keep the glory
days of trucking alive! Much of his attitude and style can be seen in his classically influenced, three-tone, green Kenworth.
This truck was built in memory of his dad, Michael “Smokey” Hardwick. Smokey used to say, “Chasin’ tomorrow tonight – isn’t that just exactly what trucking is all about!”
Trevor has gone through a lot of trucks over his years in the business, naming each one. The truck featured
here is “Chapter 11” because it nearly broke him and
is a 2017 W900L with an aerodyne sleeper, 295-inch wheelbase, a 525 Cummins ISX with an 18-speed and 3.37 rear gears, and
a signature three-color green paint scheme. The authentic paint scheme depicted on the truck was popular back in the ‘70’s era’. It is Dark Green Effect, Light Green Effect, and Green Metallic Effect. He also hauls a matching polished stainless steel spread- axle reefer with a Thermo King SB200 unit named Verse 11.
